In the distance are the San Bernardino Mountains and the San Jacinto Mountains.
The two distinct snow layers are because the snow level descended below the
forest level, so the snow is most visible in the grassy foothills and the
rocky peaks. This was shot from a rest stop on Ortega Highway, route 74.
