Notice that the large seed pod grows out of the base of the flower cluster,
as the rest of the cluster goes limp like a dry mop. Apparently, only one
or two of the tiny flowers within the cluster typically get fertilized,
and while the remaining flowers wilt away, the fertilized ones form the
giant pods.
