Dublin played the replay against Meath Meath in the first round of the GAA championship in Croke Park, Dublin on Sunday June 17th. The match was played in front of over 82,000 spectators Dublin won by 0-16 to 0-12.

The next match was against Offaly played on June 24th. Dublin won this match comfortably by 1-12 to 10 points before an attendance of over 77,000.

In the final Dublin beat Laois convincingly before a full house at Croke Park.
