Bicycles and three-wheelers are everywhere. Three-wheelers take one or two passengers under the awning. Or you may see a whole family of 4 or 5 piled on one bicycle - in the rain, yet. Along with the mini-taxis in the previous photo, and the usual-size taxis (usually Toyotas), the bus system rounds out the transportation options for the vast majority of the population. Old schoolbuses, painted distinctively and often given names, provide service on regular routes in both urban and rural areas. My understanding is that most of these vehicles are individually-owned.
