NGC 891 est une galaxie spirale (type Sb) similaire à la Voie lactée, qui a été découverte par Caroline Herschel en août 1783.
Elle se trouve à une distance d'environ 30 millions d'années-lumière, dans la constellation d'Andromède.

Télescope: astrographe PlaneWave 12.5".
Monture: Paramount ME.
Camera: CCD Sbig STL-11000.
Filtres: L, R, G, B.
Guidage: tête de guidage Sbig sur MOAG Astrodon.
Acquisition CCDSoft.
Traitement: CCDSoft (darks et flats), Maxim DL, Photoshop.
Luminance: 10x10 min., bin 1x1. RVB: 20 min. pour chaque couleur, bin 2x2. Pose totale: 2h.40. full exif
