1979

Me and my dad, a long, long, time ago. This was the last year that I stood upright and walked. My left arm still wouldn't straighten out from a compound fracture, but at least my back bone was still intact. FORTUNATLEY, I enjoyed each day and didn't waste my walking days feeling bad about dumb things. It was a good life then, and being in a wheelchair hasn't been so bad since then. But I'd still love to stand beside my dad again and smile for the camera!

no words to describe besides what it's already reflected by this image.

Wonderful shot, Paul. You certainly don't seem to have let the obstacles laid before you keep you from success. You're quite an inspiration -- both personally and professionally. Thanks for sharing this.

I would love to see you stand beside your dad again but you would tower over him now he has shrunk to about my size. Look at the pride on his face..he still has that hat and vest can you believe that ? 26 years ago. I LOVE YOU!!! Mom

My Brother, you just brought tears to my eyes. You are such an inspiration. Not a day goes by that I don't wonder what it would be like to stand beside my wife again. But hey, thank God, life is still good.
