These photos were taken with a Digital Rebel XT while on a several day business trip to Washington DC (April 2010). Specifically I had business inside the Capitol Building which may explain why I have more photos of its interior and exterior than anything else. I think the photos turned out nicely although I had to deal with the challenge of not having a tripod to help with interior and evening shots. Low shutter speeds and high ISOs were the name of the game for many of these images. During our several day stay were got to see a lot of the iconic monuments, memorials, and office buildings in the city. I'll definitely need to stop by here again sometime. I should point out that some of the shots have been photoshopped to remove lots of people since tourists love to mill around on the steps of many of the buildings and memorials. Although I visited many of the Smithsonian museums I made a point of only photographing the architecture of the buildings themselves and not the displays inside. I did make a little bit of an exception with the Air and Space Museum as I have included a few photos of its exhibits.
