The eclipse was very nice. I was about 6 miles from the center line with a group of about 30 other vehicles in a field just north of Stanley, ID. The astronomy\telescope group Slooh was also there. I photographed using two cameras. One was a Canon 6D with a 100-400mm lens and the other was a T1i Digital Rebel with a Rokinon 14mm lens. Both were fitted with solar filters. My solar filters were created using a 77mm to 82mm step up lens and an 82mm UV lens with a circular cut solar filter sheet sandwiched between the ring and UV filter. It's a very nice, and permanent, option to simply taping solar filter sheets to the front of your lens.
