The Supernova Pictograph. It is possible that this pictograph represents the supernova of 1054 AD which resulted in the creation of the Crab Nebula. This supernova was visible during the day and would have been visible in this configuration of moon and supernova on July 4 of 1054. Hopi oral traditions reveal that their ancestors saw this "blue star" and it directed a convergence of clans in Chaco.
