Wild Horse Canyon pictograph

This pictograph is located in a small alcove on a cliff in a canyon. Getting to this location and climbing the cliff to see this panel up close was a real thrill. This Barrier Style panel is probably about 2000 years old and I would guess that the panel is about 6 feet long. Notice the snake? Seeing snakes is not uncommon in Barrier panels but seeing one dripping blood or venom is. This is yet another Barrier panel that seems strange and otherworldly especially in regard to the figures. Like so many other panels this one is interpreted to represent a shaman in a trance state.
