This appears to be a Fremont hunting scene. Perhaps these scenes were created to indicate what the Fremont wished to kill. Maybe they thought that the very act of drawing them would dull their senses so that they would be helped in the hunt. One theory assumes that maybe the hunting panels were created after the hunt to commemorate the event.
