BNSF 1018 E. with a rainbow consist coming around the curve east of Bellemont, Arizona. Some local folks call this Turpentine curve. The Navajo Army base is in the background at Bellemont.

This is called Turpentine Curve. It is the last of the restrictive curves in the series designated MP350.2 to MP352.6 in my old Albuquerque Division Time Table.

I've got photos of this curve from the early 1980s. The DPS will run you out of the median if they see you there taking photos, been there done that. June mornings are best and give the best light.
