Camera With Broken Memory Card Switch

This camera came to me as part of a box of
six broken cameras. I bid and won this box
from ebay with the UZI in mind as it was advertised
with a card door problem. I thought this would be as simple
as a broken tab on the card door. After taking it apart I
found that the switch that is acuated by the card door
was broken in pieces. Some one must have jamed some thing
into the slot thinking the switch was stuck.

I could not easily get to swap out the circuit
board with the door switch.( see picture #3) Added a metal
clip to simulate the door closed.

(3) pictures with the c-7000z in smacro mode
taken on a window sill of a North facing window.

The clip fix did not stay working. Took (8) picturesa and
it failed. Open up the camera again and decided to replace
the switch. Spent hours getting the little switch off an
old camera. Altered the bottom of the battery campartment on
the card door camera for working room.

The replacement switch is from a different version as it
has two lugs for location. On the card door camera there
is no holes in the circuit board for this switch, so I
made a jumper and soldered it in place to duplicate
the card door switch (always on)
