Yellow Spider in a Yellow Lily

Misumena vatia - Crab Spider or Flower Spider. Can change color from white to yellow.
I first saw this spotted yellow beetle looking like it was trying to plant an egg on the lily. It kept moving about and pressing itself against a style. After taking 4-5 snaps I recognized the legs of an upside-down spider underneath the style. My mind just could not overcome the spider's camouflage. Then I thought the beetle was feeding on a disabled or dead spider. But eventually the scene became clear - the spider was grasping the beetle which was desperately keeping the style between them, and eventually escaped though injured.
Afterwards the spider settled down and was visited by an ant which he ignored.
The spider is about 15mm and the beetle about 8mm long.
