Bath, England

The bells of Bath Abbey tower form a ring of ten. Originally a ring of eight, two lighter bells were added in 1770. The bells from 1700 survive except for the tenor bell, shown here, which was recast following a crack in the original bell in 1870. The recast bell bears the inscription, "All you of Bathe that heare me sound, thank Lady Hopton's hundred pound."
