Launch Complex 34 as it is in 2009. It is strangely peaceful on this site. The ocean is less than 100 yards away and the waves can be heard as they reach the shore. The reinforced concrete launch pedestal, and the concrete remains of structures that supported fuel and oxidizer lines to the pad, are all that remains of the site. This site is said to be a favorite of KSC employees who come to it to take a break or perhaps have lunch.
