Johnson Space Center - Houston

That's a camp toilet from a local sporting goods store in the lower right. The rest of what you see is plywood and foamcor. But it's the way a spacecraft that will carry human beings is designed. You build a mock-up, you put humans in it, and you see how they fit. From there, you move on to the actual engineering and construction.
