An interesting shot showing the rear of a life preservation device. The crevice on the back is filled with snails, presumably hibernating (Do snails hibernate?) or sheltering from the onshore winds. In the near distance is Church Cove, and the far distance is the former Poldhu Hotel overlooking Poldhu Cove (hidden from view by the headland).
