Prothonotary Warbler at Leesylvania Park, Prince William Co, VA
This male warbler appears to be taken with his own reflection in this car's outside mirror, possibly believing his image be a competitor for the breeding territory he is attempting to establish. I watched him use his bill to attack the mirror of three different cars many times. He did find time for a meal and a song.
The male cardinals where I work are so bad about this that some people put plastic shopping bags on their mirrors to prevent scratching and to keep their cars clean.
