The young kite took its first three flights between 10 and 11 AM this morning. The first was between branches about 10-12 ft apart in the nest tree; the second to the top of a tall tree in the adjacent yard, about 140 ft away; and the third was a circle flight out over the street, about 70 feet away, and back. Unfortunately, I couldn't get photos of any of the flights.
