Series shot for a Dutch publication in the mid 1980's. Portraying people and their passion in life. From collecting books to inventing machines that 'process' chickens.

I'll be shooting some more portraits that fit in the original idea of the series, because I really like the timeless concept.

Personally i'd pick the following images for a report:
Start with the collector, followed up by a similar passion; the wargamer. Have a short story about the inventor followed by the bird lover as a contrast and final story.

I feel bad about not picking the art teaching woman, a noble job, but i just can't get the right idea about her. She doing art because she has no children, or, does she want her child to be an art lover as well, hence learning other children instead? does her son love art but she wants others to understand his passion as well? does she love art and wants to share it on the imaginative level of children? Is it a silent wish of being a teacher? I spose its the last, in some way.
