Thanks Dan. It's not really a strange picture once you know the background story: it's a man during one of the many 'Saint festivities' in the village. Apart from drinking, eating and processions, it also involves doing penitence. Usually someone who does that, like the man in the picture, has asked a favour or miracle from the saint in question.
