In the 1980's an exposition of space craft was created in the town of Utrecht, The Netherlands. Next to the old Dom cathedral in the centre of the city, a almost lifesize model of an American rocket was erected.
I remember this and I remember the elevator had some hickups. I'm not sure if people died, but something in my mind says this could well be true.
Good picture though, I like the drama in it. :)
We have the same here in my city on a permanent basis. Huntsville is known for its involvement in space exploration and such. I find it unappealing and almost frightening. Such architecture beautifully formed to see this monstrosity is a sad realization. Yet, a very interesting image.
