1st ' serious' (with model, MUA and pre determined styling) beautyshoot ever
At that moment I had only very recently entered the 1st of the 4 years photography course I started that year

Had not learned yet much about lighting yet. It however was mandatory subject matter at that time for learning the basics of lighting a subject. Taught by shooting packs of fruit juice, and plaster busts on large format b/w, with the emphases on technical proficiency at controlling contrast, and 'correct' developing of the negatives, in other word, boring, uninspiring and utterly mind numbing

So while this first time test shoot of a debutant model was a welcome change, I didn't have a clue what I was doing (apart from what I read in Walter Nurnberg's 'Lighting for Portraiture'), let alone give the MUA and model pushback against their way over the top styling and make up idea's

Which resulted in these images, in retrospect clearly harking back to the 70's (which were only very recently behind us) album covers of Roxy Music, like 'Trash' and 'The Atlantic Years 1973-1980'
(although I wasn't aware of that at the time, rather taking inspiration from Sandy Linter's 'Disco Beauty' Make up tutorial/book she had just published at that time)

Obviously, since shot in 1981, no Photoshop or anything similar
