My dad was Austins cousin. My dad was Nat Savage, eldest child of John and Maud Savage. I visited the cafe/bakery in 2004 when I was in Holywood with my husband. Special place, memories

My mum has asked if you would say 'HELLO to Austin, she worked in Bell's bakery during the war years. Her name was Jean Robinson. Many Thanks.

Thank you for stirring happy memories with this photo of Bell's Bakery. It was started by my uncle, Tommy Bell and his wife Annie when I was a child and where I enjoyed many a free cream bun! I assume the Mr Bell mentioned in the caption was my cousin Austin, with whom I lost touch many years ago.

I remember Bells so well. The wee cafe at the back did delicious cornish pasties!
