If you begin in Savannah, Georgia, where the Atlantic is moody along the Eastern shore,
you may follow U.S. Highway 80 all the way across, through Macon and Montgomery, Jackson and Shreveport,
Dallas, Ft. Worth, Pecos and El Paso, las Cruces, Tucson and Yuma,
across the Anza Borrego Desert, under omnivorous spans of the San Diego freeway system and clear to the end,
all the way to the Pacific, to the far end of America. The world is drifting this way.
