Zanzibar drew us for the ancient Arab doors and enticed us further for the spices and coast. Photos were taken in Stone Town, a spice plantation, the old slave market--which cannot be visited without tears, and the coast. Clay pots were on the patio at the Tembo Hotel.

I wonder if the Stone Town locals get bemused at the sight of foreigners taking photos of their doors?

Great gallery Patty. I've heard so much about the doors of Stone Town but have seen very few photos. Great all around gallery. Lots of color and varying subjects.

Patti, Enjoyed viewing your photos. We visited the same areas in Tanzania staying in
4 tented areas - 11 game drives. Visited 2 Maasai villages plus 2 schools. We are
beginners so just now got our photos on the computer to try to organize. I know you
both enjoyed Africa as much as we did- beautiful country and people. Carol Beeson
