Monarch Butterflies
I found Monarch caterpillars on my milkweed in mid April. I moved a bunch to the butterfly house with some stalks of milkweed.

They crawl to the top and make chrysalises
April 30th. Seven emerge this morning.
The emerging process happens quickly.
A couple of hours are needed for the wings to unfold.
