Thursday evening (Mk I).

The first part of the trip was all waiting. Having rushed from the office to the airport, I found that my flight out of HK was going to be more than 2 hours late, and I started to worry about the connection in Manila. The staff seemed unworried, and I knew there wasn't much I could do; but I found I couldn't relax and settle down to any of the reading I took with me.

(As it turned out, I needn't have worried about the connection. The Manila-SFO flight was also 2 hours late departing.)
