IFC Mall, Central

20060811 004.jpg

At the moment when I saw this opportunity I had just put away the camera in anticipation of arriving at Pret-a-Manger (where I consistently get great sandwiches). After grabbing the camera again I didn't have time to do anything other than snap a couple of instinctive shots before my subject escaped. Luckily I like the result.

Caveman, I'd love to take full credit for this, but of course I am in turn inspired by others, in this case most especially by a shot by John Washington (http://johnwashington.co.uk/index.php?showimage=105 ). Naturally my interpretation reflects my habitat! I have been looking for approximately this shot for a couple of months. I also have some other variations in mind but haven't yet been lucky or persistent enough to get them. (The security staff at IFC get a bit jumpy if I stand in one place with the camera for more than a couple of minutes.)

Superb ! David, you have given me a great example on how to use reflection in a shot. I like the idea of inverted reflection as well. Voted.

The upside down world. Where dreams meet reality. Amazing reflection and distortion. The lady silhouette added a mysterious mood to the shot. Love it and voted.
