Hartblei 120mm Super-Rotator:

I wanted to see whether it would be feasible to use the tilt effect for macro. Except for the central square of 4 blocks (with contrasting colours for focusing) the rest of the target is set up with up to 4 layers:
Yellow at the bottom, then blue, then red, then white.

In all these tests I tried to focus on the top of the blue layer (ie at the interface between the blue and red.

File names have the following meanings:
2x -> setup included the Kenko 2x Pro 300 DG teleconverter
500D -> setup included the Canon 500D close-up adapter (58mm version)
tilt -> I tilted the lens down 6 to 8 degrees, with up shift to recompose, and tilted the target to try to get the focus plane along the top of the blue blocks.
