Costa Rica, January-February 2007

We went with an Elderhostel group by mini-bus from San Jose to Serapiqui, Cano Negro, Arenal, Quepos, and Savegre. At each destination, we enjoyed a different lodge or hotel, one of Costa Rica's microclimates, and encounters with its natural wonders.

I DID THINGS BACKWARDS.EMAILED YOU ABOUT LOOKING FORWARD TO YOUR PICTURES ,AND THEN WENT TO CHECK IF THEY WERE THERE. WHAT A TREASURE OF PHOTOS. I LOVED THE PEOPLE AND PLACES ONES. I CAN'T WAIT TO FIND OUT MORE ABOUT EACH ONE. RALPH SCARED ME TO DEATH LOOKING AT HIM BALANCING ON THAT LOG BRIDGE.

Somehow I missed that you'd be travelling...was wondering WHY I wasn't finding new entries...happy to check these photos out...I've painted one of yours from Vancouver and hope to try one of the southwestern sunsets this Friday...betting I find something fascinating in these groups too...TRAVEL SAFELY...Carole

Amazing shots, as usual, wonderful compositions. Great stuff. We especially liked the animal shots. You were lucky to catch the 5-toed sloth in its nest. A very rare shot indeed.
