In early May, I had the pleasure to visit my favorite state, my former home state of Nevada. While
standing alone in an ocean of sagebrush I was befriended by a group of horses. I wasn't sure of
their intentions as they made a path straight for me ... wild horses can be ornery, but these were
like overgrown puppies. They just wanted to have their ears scratched, necks patted, and noses
rubbed. Out in the middle of nowhere, with my arms wrapped around these big animals, I realized
how good it is to be alive.
