Flower Power…
It didn’t take long for flowers to appear in my abstract artwork…just can’t help myself…
When I picked up my paintbrush I had no idea what direction I was going in…I painted in acrylic paint some mat and some metallic….
I used a black and gold fine liner and was surprised and happy with the result…In actual fact when I paint a picture I always have a spare piece of watercolor paper to wipe my brush on,make splodges and paint strokes on so as not to just discard the leftover paint…This was created from my spare piece of paper and I think I will continue with my painting until I feel it’s finished…if it ever is…🤣
Thank you all for your kind words and visits…🥰
Kuretake Graphite watercolor paints…
Love these graphite watercolors,in this painting the colors are quite dark but you can lighten them with more water than I used…
I used fine liners in black, gold and white for my lines and doodles…
Thank you all for your kind words, visits and votes…
Hope you are having fine weather…it’s ten degrees colder the past few days with rain on the way…the good news is I finished the painting of the front garden fence…will continue in the back garden when it warms up again…
Enjoy your weekend…🥰
Kuretake Japanese watercolor paints…
Had fun doing this one …it’s getting easier to decide what doodles to add after the paint has dried…I use acrylic marker pens for doodling…
Thank you all for your visits and kind words…

Kuretake Japanese Watercolor Paints
Painting when I have time
must say painting on paper is more relaxing than painting the garden fence
but I will persevere
.Always lots to do in the garden this time of year
my aim is to spend summer afternoons sitting at the table painting
under the parasol of course
and weather permitting
I also used stencils and marker pens on my abstract..I really love the Kuretake watercolors…
Thank you all for your lovely comments, votes and visits
Our summer weather continues I am happy to say and the next ten days look good too
Hope you are also enjoying sunny days
🥰
Different strokes
.
At last after buying lots of new painting supplies I have started my Journey
.Inspired by Denise Love after watching many of her videos on YouTube
.I bought new Japanese watercolors by Kuretake and the pigment is so beautiful more intense than European watercolors
.lots of fine liner pens to doodle with and charcoal blocks to make marks on the blank paper before painting in watercolor
such freedom and fun to do and I look forward to exploring all the other styles of abstract art
I am sorry for my absence again but life and not being well got in the way
.three weeks ago I was bitten by a tick
.and I have the bacterial version of Lyme Disease thankfully not the viral one which is much worse
.so am taking strong antibiotics just now and feeling a bit better each day
Spring never actually arrived here we had a few sunny days but for the most rain, grey skies, snow and very cold
Hoping for some sun tomorrow
.
Cheeky fox is still around I am happy to say and she comes most mornings and sits and waits in the garden until I take her to the forest to eat her breakfast
Thank you all so much for all your lovely comments
so much appreciated
.
Enjoy your day
