Lived at 1755 clay ave from 1950-56 and I walked to PS 70 everyday--before the cross Bronx expressway ripped apart my old neighborhood.
I was 9 when my family moved.Writing a memoir of that time and would love to hear from my friends who lived in the building at that time.

I lived at 1664 Weeks Ave and went P.S. 70 from 1960 until 1966. Some of the teachers I remember were Mrs. Elkins, Davidoff and Zavlick. I hung out with a bunch of guys from Sheridan Ave. by Taft. If any of those guys are out there I would like to hear from them as well as any classmates.

I lived at 1776 Weeks Ave and went to PS 70 in the 60's. What a great school with great teachers! Went to Wade Junior High School after PS 70.

I lived in 1675 from 1956-1969. They are still my most memorable days ever! I am a true Bronx girl through and through. We walked to P.S.70 everyday..which I recently visited and is still a beautiful school with a newly renovated pool! Days were spent playing on 174th Street rollerskating, "slug" playing ball against the wall of the building..and just being with my friends..who thanks to Facebook I have successfully been reuniting with! Those were the days!

I lived on Townsend Ave. and 175th St. I pasted that building everyday on my way to PS 70. I thought it was the grandest building ever built. Now I live in Florida and often think about those days. With not a care in the world, life was grand.

My grandma lived below on 174th street. My piano teacher, above on the Grand Concourse. It was the fanciest building in I'd ever seen. Sneaking into the elevator that carried one from lower to upper was thrilling. It rivaled
the terror of my piano lesson.
We moved away in 1950. It's the only neighborhood I remember.

I walked past this building everyday on the way to school. P.S 70. I remember when I was alittle older going trick or treating in there. And thinking I hit the jackpot
