10" f/6 Truss Tube Telescope
This is my 10" f/6 Truss Tube Telescope which was converted from a Discovery 10" f/6 Split tube scope (shown below). Focal ratio is f/6. The Truss Tube Newtonian is broken down into two main sections and truss poles for easier transport. This scope gives great planetary views as well as showing deepsky objects very nicely.
I reused the primary mirror, secondary mirror, and focuser components. The specific design for this scope was my own along with the collaboration and help of my Cloudy Nights friends. The upper secondary cage and lower primary mirror box along with the rocker box were fabricated in my workshop. The truss poles and truss connectors were purchased.
