Do you ever see any bear tracks along that river? I was walking along a water channel near where I grew up when I saw this huge track easily as big as my hand when I realized it likely was a bear track. I shot a picture of it and headed for my car in a parking area above. Wasn't wanting to meet a bear right then. The bears here are black bear and usually head take off if they get too close to a human. But still I wouldn't be willing to be around if they had cubs with them, even though chances are minimal for a black bear to be aggressive unless there was a reason.
