Wonderful, Roy. I have been shooting a male downey on our feeders. He was really afraid at first but now I can get out on the porch without him flying every time.

Oh goodness, Roy! Oh to be able to sit on one's back porch and get shots like that. It takes patience, endurance and determination to stick with it and also to take the time to get the right composition and not shoot in a hurry. You did it all and got a great shot! V

Fantastic close up of the Downy, Roy. Great detail and color on the bird. I also like the diagonal orientation of the Woodpecker from lower left corner of the image to upper right. It allows the viewer's eyes to sweep upward across the bird and take in its details a little at a time.
