The evening of December 22 a major ice storm passed through eastern Canada, parts of which are still without electricity caused by ice damage to trees and power lines. In Kingston we dodged a bullet and came through relatively unscathed. After the 1998 Ice Storm of the Century,which affected us greatly & left some people without power for weeks, we awaited this storm with great trepidation.
This morning the sun came out for a couple of hours and the -24C crisp air made for an excellent photo op.
