Fare On The Square 09-05-09

Fare On The Square is a feast from the fields. Local farmers supplied local restauranteurs with local food to showcase the food and the culinery skills of our local chefs. The event, which was held on our Market Square, featured tons of fresh vegetables, fruit, and bison from the Plains of Wolfe Island. In addition there was free entertainment, a free heritage tomato tasting, free corn on the cob, free face painting and balloons, along with free horse drawn wagon rides. Samples of our chefs culinary expertise were available for $2.00 a go. A couple could have a truly splendid lunch for $20.00. A good time was had by all.
