The dramatic sky in the background was a heavy thunderstorm a short distance away.
The sky above & behind from where I was taking the photograph was nice & clear allowing the sun to light up the lighthouse against the storm clouds.
I dialled in exposure compensation to stop the lighthouse from under-exposing the shot.
