I got a great condition 2002 Blue Pearl WRX, and daymmmmmmm the previous owner really loved this adorable bugger. My family and friends couldn't beleive it was a second hand car because of the flawless interior and exterior condition of the car. Internally, it has only a few basic modifications that boost power somewhat, in order to maintain factory reliability. A K&N airfilter was my first purchase, and I noted the previous owner had removed the air resonator, and installed a performance crankshaft pulley.
08/07/03: I've taken the time and money to begin a few modifications. I won't be an obnoxious ricer, so i'm leaving all my modifications towards suspension, handling, and braking. Power is low on my priorities, but a few "free horsepower" mods have been done.
- "Cat" Free Up-pipe
- "Cat Free Downpipe
- Vishnu engine managment unichip
As for external modifications for more durability or better aesthetics, i've installed
- Prodrive Mudflaps
- STi Foglight Covers
- Headlight "Koji" Mod.
For better Handling:
-Eibach Prokit Springs
-Whiteline Adjustable Rear Sway Bar
Anyway, i'm looking to increase my driving skills, so i've been on the lookout for local Auto cross and track events. I've even got my S.C.C.A. (Sports Car Club of America) membership card, whee!!! Unfortunately, this means even less time, so i'm begining to doubt rowing next season... I've only been going to class, modifying the car, driving the car, and worrying about getting money to modify the car.
