Okay, I got even crazier now. I took all the lenses I had that I could screw together and came up with this Ultimate Combo. It is the EagleEye 5x with the Crystalvue 8X32 screwed in the front of it and then the Olympus B-300 screwed on in front of that. It is not the best picture in the world, but if you needed to read a license plate at 1 mile, and all you had was a bag full of lenses, you could pull it off. This proves that the tripod socket on the 5000 can take a lot of weight without failing and that the lens threads on the 5000 can take a lot of weight too. There is one more Combo that I forgot to try while I was doing my lens test. I can screw the Kenko 8X32 in front of the Crystalvue 8x32 and make another Mega Combo. I will have to wait for another sunny day so I can go to the same spot and try it.
