Updated on May 9, 2006, displaying a few shots from the northeastern arm of the lake. The unpaved road to Tzintzuntzan, often as much as 200 feet above the lake, is undergoing improvements. The area is served by colectivos which link the fishing settlements scattered along the shore.
UPDATE: the road is now completely paved.

This traditional mescalería is located at Oponguio, along the northern shore of Lake Pátzcuaro. It is open to the public. Free samples are provided by the genial owner.
Both tequila and mescal are made.
