the clematis you suggested Liz is doing a good job covering the wall	brief flash of figure/ground shift yesterday -- more plants than dirt!	the sunflowers have been the biggest surpirse. they have grown so much and made so much plant matter in 6 weeks it is amazing	big yellow happiness
icelandic poppies don't seem to know they should be done by now. go poppies!	kangaroo paw is getting established	one of the gingers surrounded by climbing nastertium starts	variagated ginger. we'll see what it thinks of a bay area winter
tuberous begonia -- i hope the little bit of late afternoon sun it gets is enough	the cuphea is spreading out a bit	dahlias, finally! got them yesterday. if they withstand the root unbinding, i should have purple-red blooms soon	kniphofia - sp!, big and happy
bamboo. thought i got all of the root here. guess not. time for the pick ax	until the bamboo was cleared i didn't know this plant was here	meyer lemon tree! planted parallel to hillside. it now needs to right itself	these little guys are supposed to help anchor the loose dirt. are they up to the task?
there is still a LOT of empty space	moles? voles? gopher? or bamboo removal?	lots of fortnight lilly that was already here, then i (somewhat regretfully) added more	strawberries have stopped producing for now. hoping they might get going again
can't get enough of them	gotta have some art in the mix, courtesty of bunker, sun, and deck	hosta. my mom had these and i love the variegated leaves	brugsmansia and i am pretty excited about it.
