the clematis you suggested Liz is doing a good job covering the wall
brief flash of figure/ground shift yesterday -- more plants than dirt!
the sunflowers have been the biggest surpirse. they have grown so much and made so much plant matter in 6 weeks it is amazing

kangaroo paw is getting established
one of the gingers surrounded by climbing nastertium starts
variagated ginger. we'll see what it thinks of a bay area winter
tuberous begonia -- i hope the little bit of late afternoon sun it gets is enough
the cuphea is spreading out a bit
dahlias, finally! got them yesterday. if they withstand the root unbinding, i should have purple-red blooms soon
