This snake was also very obliging about
letting me photograph it. I used a 100mm macro
and was within a foot of so of it to capture
this close up. It was much larger than the
other Southern Watersnake I have pictured. The
scale pattern on its back was less distinct too.
I'm assuming it was a mature adult and that the
other was younger.
