Horses of Iceland

Iceland is home to one breed of horse, the Icelandic Horse, found no where else in the world. Originally brought to Iceland by Viking settlers, these beautiful, small and hardy horses have thick coats and flowing manes and are well adapted to life in the cold Icelandic climate.
