Nice heavy duty cable-release bracket. I've left plenty of 'beef' in case other additions/changes are wanted. The material is an unknown 'gummy' aluminum 3/16" thick. I made a ¼"x 28 tpi adapter to connect the cable release to the top portion. The cable-release is just Locktited into its threaded adapter, but it was a slight press fit too. I like good fits!! The adapter's threads are at a 10 deg. forward, and a 5 deg. right outward angle to match the shutter button movement. I've just milled the cut-out on the rear sole-plate and the 'crescent' cut-out on the upright. These cut-outs allow me to rotate the bracket (90 deg.) to change the battery without removing it completely. There is a ¼" hole under the large thumbscrew to secure the bracket to the underside of the camera. This is still a work in progress.
