Here's the big event. Believe me, many, many hours and quite a few failures went into it. I gave this pic a touch of sharpening and also brought up the midrange brightness a bit and this helped the pellet stand out a little better.

Looking closely, one can see the bare wire is bending itself around the orange wire. It's too bad that no gas flow is seen, and I'll have to work on that. Perhaps if I wet the bore with oil some of it may give me a nice spray pattern. Maybe I'll send a felt wad right behind the pellet and see what happens (i.e. lint flow). There is a lot to think about here.
